Unemployment is the chief factor stimulating the rise in drug abuse, early pregnancies and high crime rate, to fight that, newly formed Security entity, Wingspread Security has trained and employed over 20 youths from Lupane District.
Speaking to BANO NEWS in an exclusive Interview, Wingspread Founder&Director Memory Dube said his company is not stopping and will be recruiting more youths from the area.
"We do have 1 or 2 elders but most of our employees are the youths who are the future and backbone of this country. The issue of drug abuse and crime is on the rise especially here in rural areas, mostly it's because these youths have nothing to keep them busy which is why they end up engaging in these funny activities, so as Windspread we want a better tomorrow for our children and the best way to do that is to keep them busy, give them jobs or take them to school"
"At the moment we have a staff of 22 youths from Lupane District and we are not stopping, we will be training and recruiting more youths from Mat North, Bulawayo and other parts of the country," said Dube
Wingspread is a Zimbabwean private Security Company based in Lupane.The entity focuses on providing security services while also creating employment opportunities for the local population, thus giving back to the community.
In December 2020, the company was incorporated under the Companies Act Chapter 24:31, as well as the Security Service Act of Zimbabwe and the Private Investigators and Security Guards Controls Act Chapter 27:10. This demonstrates the company's commitment to complying with relevant laws and regulations while providing professional services to its clients.
Wingspread Security uses modern systems to respond to security and risk threats faced by its clients, including individuals, corporations, and communities that are not primarily protected by the Zimbabwe Republic Police. The company provides services at very reasonable and affordable costs.
It was established in Kafusi and Manama in Gwanda, which is in the Mat South Province. The company was greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic when it was still operating as Wingspread Investment Pvt Ltd.
