Lethu The Poet Unleash A Debut Album

FAST-rising poet, Lethu Mpofu also known as Lethu the Poet has launched her debut album titled Dawn of the Societal Sculptures.


The album is a collection of thought-provoking and captivating poems that delve into various aspects of our society. 


Lethu who is signed by Home of Arts Entertainment  launched her album on Saturday 7 October at Silwane Youth Centre in Pumula.


Speaking to BANO NEWS, Lethu expressed her joy and highlighted that this was a dream come true for her.


"This is a dream come true, since 14 years of age dreaming about this, it final happened.I am overjoyed, I can't explain it with words, I am overjoyed for this.Thank you to everyone who supported me, I wasn't expecting this from everybody, I wasn't expecting the event to come out so beautiful but it came out wonderfully, it was amazing". 


"The album is to support society, to raise awareness in our society.It's just an insightful album of poetry, it's entertainment while it's enlightening your life, giving more knowledge to your world about what society does and how society does things," said Lethu. 


Lethu's album launch was graced by Lobengula-Magwegwe MP Hon. Eric Gono who was the first to purchase the album.


Freedom poet and Member of Parliament for Nkulumane Constituency Desire 'Moyoxide' Moyo and Thaluso da Poet were some of the special guests at the launch. 


Speaking on the sidelines of the launch, Home of Arts Entertainment Director, Happy Mpofu said:


"Today we are here launching Lethu the Poet's album titled "Dawn of the Societal Sculptures". Lethu is  under our Organization Home of Arts Entertainment.It's been a great pleasure working with her, she is one of the most young dedicated and creative young lady.We are so happy that the album launch was successful, one thing  that I love about this album is the way that Lethu portrayed issues that affect the community e.g drug abuse, equity and gender based violence.We are also calling out artists who wish to be part of the Organization to come in numbers so that we also assist them to grow," said Mpofu.
