AWARD-winning jazz musician Charles Banda popurlarly known as Mahlaba will be launching his second studio album tonight.
The ten-track album is titled Imizwa/Feelings and will be launched at Bulawayo Theatre.
In an interview, Mahlaba told BANO NEWS that the album expresses different feelings that people face on a daily basis.
"Each song is telling a story of different feeling that we have seen or felt.The word feelings is broad it covers different things..feeling is an emotion, such as anger or happiness.All the songs are accompanied by different types of feelings: happiness, sadness, fear and anger, which are differentially associated with three core affects: reward (happiness), punishment (sadness), and stress (fear and anger)," said Mahlaba
The album was produced by Loud Records and Elephant Herds Records, respectively. It features the City's well-known artists which include Qeqe Mntambo, Mwezi Mwezi, Helen Nyathi, Ishmael Muvhingi, Brilliant Ntando Sithole, Vikmoe, Gaz' Elimnyama and Baphi Mdladla.
Mahlaba revealed that he finished working on this project two years ago.
"This album has been waiting to be released, it's been 2 years since I finished working on it with my team...but now we have finally decided to give people what they will enjoy"
