ZIMBABWE African National Congress(ZANC) President Mr Timothy Mncube says in as much as the 2023 elections didn't favor them, it was more of a learning experience that they appreciated as a party and learnt a lot from as it was their first election.

Mncube said this in his party's End of Year Statement that was released on the 27th day of  December 2023.

"The 2023 elections were controversial but we accepted them.We were not impressed with our party results, however that did not deter us, we have learnt from our mistakes and we will come back stronger," he said

ZANC is a socialist democrats party that was formed in the year 2019 by the Bulawayo based businessman Mr Timothy Mncube.

In 2023, the party contested in the harmonized elections for the first time.ZANC contested for 5 Member of Parliament seats and 7 Council seats in Bulawayo.

Like any other party, before the elections ZANC also did it's campaigns. They did road shows and door to door campaigns were they introduced their party and Candidates to the electorates.

President Mncube said the campaigns gave them an opportunity to engage with the voters and get to understand what they want and the struggles they're going through on a daily basis.

"Our door to door campaign was the major highlight of the year. The campaigns gave us a chance to engage with the voters as well as understanding their daily struggles which we are going to seriously deal with once we are voted into power"

"We have more projects coming up next year particularly for the youths as they're are the backbone of the nation and the future is in their hands. These projects are also a way of getting our youths busy so they distance themselves from drugs as you know that unemployment is the chief factor stimulating the rise in drug abuse and theft so we're going to create employment for our youths and more," said Mncube

ZANC President ended his statement by inviting the people of Zimbabwe to vote for his party in 2028 and join them in making Zimbabwe great again.

"ZANC is here to stay and we are going to fight to make it to parliament.Whatever happened in the past has taught us many lessons and we will work together to resolve them. Let us continue being United and working together towards making Zimbabwe great again.2028 let's do the right thing and vote for the People's party ZANC.We are here to revive and  make Zimbabwe a better place to stay"
