BAFA Seek Office Revamp, As League Is Set To Return

Bulawayo Amateur Football Association is planning to bring modernity to its office, bridging the technological gap and catch up with the trends of this era thereby creating a sustainable workspace , an official has revealed.

For the past years Bulawayo's oldest football association has been sticking to the traditional old pen and paper model to conduct day to day works.

Speaking during an interview the BAFA secretary Mr Godfrey Muganiwa highlighted that technological advancement within their office is imminent.

"Talking of advancement we are expecting to modernity to our offices by acquiring laptops and also if possible we will be getting WiFi as well for the smooth flow of our work", he said.

He also added that more football teams have since confirmed their presence for the 2024 season and pointed that lack of funds is the only problem hindering progress.

"No team has since affiliated but a total of 12 teams have confirmed to be part of BAFA 2024 league up from 8 from last season. The challenge is funds no team is paying affiliation but they want to play", said the secretary Godfrey Muganiwa.

The Bulawayo amateur football association is one of the oldest leagues in Bulawayo which has over the years produced players who later plyed their trade in the top flight Premier league.

Winners of the BAFA league are automatically promoted into the division football and awarded with some prize money, a shield, football kits and some medals for the players and management.
