WARRIORS striker Obriel Chirinda will have to wait a little longer to feature in the premier league as the transfer saga between Champions Ngezi Platinum and Dynamos is yet to be resolved.

It is believed that the former Bulawayo Chiefs forward first signed a contract with Harare giants Dynamos FC before joining Ngezi Platinum who later officially unvelived him as their player.

Despite training with the Mhondoro based outfit Obriel Chirinda has not played a single game but instead watching sadly from the terraces as his team struggles to settle in the opening 5 matches of the 2024 season.

Speaking during an interview, soccer legend and coach Mkhokheli Dube highlighted that transparency is the only thing that matters when negotiating a contract.

"This is really sad , because now such an amazing talent is not playing because of this situation. In life transparency is always key. I feel like the people around him, If ever he has any were not honest with him".

"Anyone who has a running contract with a club, the team that shows interest in him has to deal directly with the player's current club",said Mr Dube.

He also added that interested football clubs should not capitalise on player, club relationship.

"Also clubs must not take advantage of the player’s situations with their current clubs . It’s all about transparency and letting the people that want you know the exact truth and which channels to follow suit", added coach Mkhokheli Dube.

A similar situation occured between Chicken Inn FC and Lawrence Mhlanga who had to spend the whole of 2017 season on the sidelines during a contract battle were the game cocks had continuously refused grant the player a clearance letter and preventing him from joining FC Platinum.

Soccer legend Mayfield Daka criticised football teams for their laxity towards players negotiating their own contracts without proper channels of communication.

"The Chirinda deal both player and team were wrong. Contracts are negotiated by the Manager and this is done in an office not in a filling station worse a Coach comes to Negotiate".

"It's all nonsense they should have taken the proper channels period thus players should also be taught the correct protocols while also the teams should do the right things",said Mr Daka.

Approaches to conclude the battle have been in vain as Dynamos refused to be refunded but instead seek the player's  services as they are aware that he could be vital in their quest for glory.
