NKAYI United came from behind to claim a 2-1 victory against newcomers Zebra Revolution FC in a mouth watering clash which was held at city.
It was the Mkhokheli Dube led outfit which found the back of the net first through an opener from Tamburikayi however the lead was quickly cancelled out by foward Tino Chitete's equaliser.
The Nkayi United foward has so far been lethal infront of goal as he emerges to be among the top goal scorers in the Southern region division one league chat. Tino Chitete has eight goals while the leading scorer is Kaunda of ZPC Hwange with nine goals.
The game which seemed to be a draw was surprisingly sealed by Brandon Dube of Nkayi United who found the back of the net in the 2nd half claiming all 3 points against neighbours Zebra Revolution.
Speaking during an interview Nkayi United assistant coach Khonzani Ncube highlighted that, some tactical changes enabled them to emerge victorious.
"It was a tough game and knowing how Zebras play we came prepared,but we made a mistake which led to their early goal,then we had tactical substitutions at half time which brought us back into the game".
"We also tried by all means to use the width of the pitch which forced their defense to move out of their positions leading to our second goal,but on our side our centre backs were too hesitant in most of the ariel situations which made them uncomfortable at the back".
"Especially the central defenders then the midfielders especially second half was giving the Zebras midfielders too much room to play,so we corrected that at half time and am happy with the result", said coach Ncube.
The victory takes Nkayi United to 5th position in the log while Zebra United remain on position eleven with 14 points.
Elsewhere Adachi FC continued with their winning streak after edging past visitors Mainline through Nathaniel Moyo's only solidarity goal.
Inyathi based outfit Casmyn claimed a 2-0 victory against Indlovu Iyanyathela, Talen Vision welcomed Victoria Falls City in Filabusi by pumping 3 goals past the new boys.
The centre of debate still remains with Bosso90 who are yet to claim their first victory of the season after 12 games despite sharing spoils with DRC Utd in a one all draw.
The recently refurbished Ajax Hotspurs drew 0-0 against another struggling side Bulawayo city.
