EXACTLY one year ago, Hon. Desire Moyo was elected as the Member of Parliament for Nkulumane Constituency.

Today, he sat down with BANO NEWS Reporter, Nokwazi Khumalo, to reflect on the progress made so far, and the developments that have been achieved in the constituency.

Hon. Moyo was ebullient as he looked back on the past year, saying, "As Nkulumane, we celebrate 365 days of working together, 365 days of coming and planning together."

The MP emphasized the importance of creating a communicative and participatory community, which was at the core of his initial plans.

To achieve this, Hon. Moyo established several key structures in the constituency. One of the notable achievements is the creation of the Nkulumane Constituency Development Committee, a 25-member committee that plays a vital role in driving development projects in the area. Additionally, the Nkulumane Compassion team was set up to address social issues and provide support to the community in times of need.

Another significant milestone is the establishment of the CDF Committee, which oversees the funding of development projects directly from Parliament. These three pillars of development have laid a solid foundation for the constituency's growth.

The MP also highlighted the development of the Nkulumane Constituency Development Plan, a 5-year plan that encompasses 11 clusters within the constituency. This comprehensive plan is designed to ensure sustainable development and improvement in the lives of the constituents.

Hon. Moyo expressed his satisfaction with the progress made so far, saying, "We have managed to set up a concrete foundation." As he looks to the future, the MP is committed to continuing to work closely with the community to ensure that the development projects benefit the people of Nkulumane.
