BULAWAYO, ZIMBABWE-The Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) has issued a press statement addressing growing concerns regarding copyright infringement and defamation caused by unregistered media practitioners. This statement reflects the organization's commitment to enhancing media accountability and protecting the integrity of journalism in Zimbabwe.

Mr. Bibian Chikoko, Chairperson of the VMCZ Complaints Committee, emphasized the need for careful oversight and the importance of verifying the credibility of media sources. “It is essential for consumers of news to know who is behind the information they receive,” said Chikoko. "We must work together to promote ethical journalism and eliminate fraudulent media practices."
