Zimbabwe's President, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, has arrived in China for a high-level State Visit and to attend the prestigious Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit.
The summit, themed "Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future", brings together African leaders and their Chinese counterparts to strengthen bilateral ties and forge new partnerships.
Ahead of the FOCAC Summit, President Mnangagwa is set to engage in a series of business meetings with key players in China's ICT, Energy, and Agriculture sectors. These engagements are expected to yield significant collaborations that will benefit Zimbabwe's economy.
The President will also hold bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart, President Xi Jinping, during his State visit. The two leaders are expected to discuss ways to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Zimbabwe and China, which has been elevated to a higher level since the country's liberation struggle.
The cordial relations between Zimbabwe and China span across all spheres, and the President's visit is expected to cement the already strong ties between the two nations.
