FC Platinum's bid for the top spot in the Castle Lager Premiership suffered a significant setback on Saturday, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by ZPC Kariba.
The Platinum Boys were left reeling after conceding a goal in the 64th minute to Fanuel Shoko, and despite their best efforts, they were unable to find a winner until the dying minutes of the game.
Wilfred Muvirimi's late equalizer was a welcome relief for FC Platinum, but the draw means they remain four points adrift of leaders Simba Bhora, who secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Bikita Minerals.
Walter Musona's first-half strike proved to be the difference between the two teams, as Simba Bhora strengthened their grip on the top spot.
Elsewhere, CAPS United were held to a 2-2 draw by Greenfuel, while Bulawayo Chiefs and TelOne played out a 1-1 stalemate. In other matches, Yadah were defeated 2-0 by Ngezi Platinum, while Simba Bhora's 1-0 win over Bikita Minerals cemented their position at the top of the table.
