In a shocking and disturbing incident, a 28-year-old man has been remanded in custody for allegedly violating a goat in Kadoma.
Edward Chitivha, a resident of Tolrose Compound, appeared before the Kadoma Magistrates' Court facing bestiality charges. According to allegations, on August 12, 2024, at around 4 pm, Chitivha entered a goat pen at Plot 9 Blagdon Farm Eiffel Flats, where the complainant, Isheunesu Shangudze (40), had penned his five goats.
The accused allegedly removed his clothes, tied a white she-goat's legs to a pole, and committed the heinous act.
The complainant, who was sleeping in his house, was alerted by the goat's cries and rushed to investigate. Upon hearing the complainant approach, Chitivha fled the scene, leaving his clothes behind.
A police report was filed, leading to Chitivha's arrest. He was subsequently remanded in custody until September 17, 2024.
This appalling incident has sent shockwaves through the community, and residents are calling for justice to be served.
The accused's alleged actions are not only incomprehensible but also raise concerns about animal welfare and the safety of livestock in the area.
