In a bid to spark meaningful discussions and debates around critical social issues, Intwasa Festival is taking short films to communities in Makokoba, Mzilikazi, and Nkulumane.
This community screening is part of the Amplifying Girls Voices Through Digital Arts project, which is under the larger My Body My Future project being implemented by a consortium that includes Plan Zimbabwe, Intwasa, SRC and NCDPZ.
The film screening aims to educate and inspire young people, tackling real-life issues such as love, intergenerational relationships, sexual health, and safety. By using short films as a catalyst, the project hopes to create a platform for open dialogue and debate among youths and parents on issues that directly affect their daily lives and future.
According to Intwasa Festival Director, Raisedon Baya, "The project uses digital content (messaging) around SRHR, ending child marriages and Gender-Based Violence. The content is meant to spark debate and dialogue among youths and parents on issues affecting their daily lives and the future."
The film screening promises to be an engaging and interactive experience, providing valuable life skills and tips to navigate relationships and make informed choices for a brighter future.
