Harare, Zimbabwe– The Parliament of Zimbabwe has announced the postponement of the 2025 Budget Consultations, initially scheduled to take place between the 29th of September and the 4th of October 2024.
In a statement released yesterday, Parliament informed members of the public, stakeholders, and the media fraternity about the delay, stating that new dates will be announced in due course.
The consultations are a crucial part of the nation's budgeting process, providing an opportunity for citizens and various stakeholders to participate and contribute their views on the upcoming national budget.
Parliament also assured the public that ample time will be allocated for participation in this key national exercise once the new dates and venues are finalized.
“We sincerely regret any inconveniences this might cause to our valued stakeholders,” read part of the statement.
The Budget Consultations are a pivotal event in Zimbabwe's financial planning calendar, aimed at ensuring transparency and inclusiveness in the national budgeting process.
