Bulawayo — In a recent development, the KwaNtuthu Comedy Festival has announced the cancellation of its Stand-Up Comedy night, which was scheduled for the 26th of October 2024.
Hubforty Entertainment, trading as LOL Entertainment Zimbabwe, issued a press release expressing regret over the removal of the event, citing factors beyond their control.
However, the festival will proceed with its Theatre Day on the 24th of October and the High School Short Films Screening on the 25th of October, both taking place at Bulawayo Theatre.
Participants in the Theatre Day include Dominican Convent High School, St Augustine’s College, Sobukhazi High School, and Jubilee Academy. The High School Short Films Screening will feature contributions from institutions such as St Columba’s High School, King George VI Memorial School for people with disabilities, and Mandwandwe High School, among others.
Tickets for these events are available at Vitamind Pharmacy along Fife Street, with delivery options offered within the city center. Interested individuals can also contact the festival team through phone or WhatsApp for more details.
While the Stand-Up Comedy night has been removed from this year’s line-up, the festival continues to promise an exciting showcase of local talent.
