Bulawayo – The Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards (RBAA) Trust has announced the postponement of the 8th edition of the prestigious awards to the Heroes Holiday in August 2025.
The decision, communicated via a press release, was made to ensure the event continues to reflect the high standards and inclusivity associated with its legacy.
The organizers cited several reasons for the postponement, including the need to address limited representation across certain genres and to include a broader and more comprehensive selection of artistic works. This additional time will also allow for further planning, rebranding, and the introduction of new concepts aimed at making the upcoming edition even more impactful and memorable.
Running under the sub-theme "Celebrating Our Heroes," the 8th edition will not only celebrate arts excellence but also honor the rich pool of creative talent in the region. According to the statement, the extended timeline will provide an opportunity to secure additional partnerships and sponsorships, enhancing the awards' reach and significance.
“This postponement will allow us, as organizers, the opportunity to seek additional partnerships and sponsors. Our aim is to make the 8th edition even more impactful and memorable than previous years,” the statement read.
The Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards Trust reassured stakeholders, artists, and supporters of its commitment to delivering a dynamic and exciting ceremony in 2025. While expressing regret for any inconvenience caused, the Trust thanked its supporters for their patience and understanding as they work to elevate and celebrate the incredible talent within the arts community.
The Roil BAA remains a key platform for recognizing and celebrating excellence in arts and culture across Zimbabwe, and the 2025 edition is expected to set new benchmarks in its continued mission to honor creative achievement.
