Highlanders Football Club has announced the appointment of Mr. Brian Moyo as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
The appointment follows the untimely passing of Sihlangu Dlodlo, who previously held the position.
In a statement issued by the club’s Executive Chairman, Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, Highlanders FC described Mr. Moyo as a seasoned football administrator with a wealth of experience. He has previously served the club in various administrative roles and also worked with the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) in numerous capacities.
The club expressed confidence in Mr. Moyo's expertise and knowledge, emphasizing that he will be a valuable asset in driving the club forward.
"We welcome Mr. Moyo to the country’s oldest, most followed, and supported football team. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Mr. Moyo as he takes on this new role," said Retired Colonel Mhlophe.
The appointment of Mr. Moyo marks a new chapter for Highlanders FC as the club navigates the loss of Mr. Dlodlo, who was instrumental in the team's recent administrative successes. Fans and stakeholders are hopeful that Mr. Moyo’s leadership will uphold and advance the club's legacy while building on the foundation laid by his predecessor.
Highlanders FC, one of Zimbabwe’s most iconic football teams, continues to demonstrate its commitment to strong leadership and excellence both on and off the pitch.
