Sekunjalo MaAfrica Arts has emerged victorious at the Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival provincial finals, held recently in Bulawayo.
The dance troupe will represent Bulawayo Metropolitan Province at the national finals, marking their fourth appearance on the grand stage.
This achievement is a testament to the group's dedication and passion for traditional dance. Sekunjalo MaAfrica Arts has previously represented Bulawayo province in the national finals in 2014, 2016, and 2023.
The provincial finals saw Sekunjalo MaAfrica Arts outperform other talented groups, including Isizwe Sabatsha, which took second place, and Bambanani Womens Dance Group, which came in third.
Sekunjalo MaAfrica Arts will now head to Mutare to defend their title and compete against other provincial winners at the national finals. The group is expected to showcase their exceptional traditional dance skills and cultural heritage.
