Legendary Zimbabwean musician Martin Sibanda, frontman of the iconic group Martin and Ndolwane Super Sounds, successfully launched his fifth solo album titled Bheku' Ubone on Saturday, August 9, at the vibrant Hippopula Pub and Grill in Bulawayo.

The event marked the Bulawayo chapter of the album’s rollout, following a successful first launch held in South Africa on August 1. Fans gathered in large numbers to celebrate the release, showing once again the enduring popularity of Sibanda’s signature sound and storytelling.

Vogue Fashion Boutique #TEAM BATISTA made headlines by purchasing Martin and Ndolwane Super Sound's new album with a housing stand. Meanwhile, Hippopula Pub and Grill splashed out USD100 for the highly-anticipated album.

Speaking to BANO NEWS, Martin and Ndolwane Super Sounds’ manager Thandazani Nyoni expressed deep appreciation for the continued support from fans.

“We thank everyone for their continued support for the music icon,” Nyoni told BANO NEWS. “The turnout has been incredible and shows how much Martin's music continues to resonate with people across generations.”

Nyoni also confirmed that album tour dates will be announced soon, as fans from across Zimbabwe are calling for the album launch to be brought to their cities and communities.

“We will be announcing album tour dates soon,” Nyoni said. “People from different spheres in Zimbabwe want the iconic musician to also bring the album launch to their doorstep.”

Martin Sibanda, who first made his mark as a founding member of Ndolwane Super Sounds, has carved out a successful solo path while still honoring the group’s legacy. His latest project, Bheku' Ubone, reflects his continued evolution as an artist — fusing traditional rhythms, contemporary sounds, and socially conscious lyrics.

With the buzz surrounding the new release and anticipation for a nationwide tour, Bheku' Ubone stands poised to become another celebrated chapter in Martin Sibanda’s legendary career.
