The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) has taken a major step toward digital transformation after signing a Memorandum of Agreement with Bindura University of Science and Technology (BUSE) to develop an online artist registration system.
The agreement, signed on 28 November 2025 at the NACZ Head Office in Mt Pleasant, paves the way for the creation of a web-based platform designed to modernize how artists across the country register with the Council. The system will replace traditional manual processes, offering a more efficient, transparent, and accessible registration experience.
Under the partnership, BUSE will develop and manage the custom-built application, ensuring it meets the needs of Zimbabwe’s diverse creative sector.
NACZ Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Napoleon Nyanhi, described the collaboration as a transformative milestone for the arts industry.
“This partnership is a game-changer for the administration of the creative sector. By digitizing the registration process, we are improving service delivery and strengthening our ability to support artists nationwide,” he said.
The initiative aligns with NACZ’s broader efforts to enhance operational efficiency and promote an enabling environment for creative practitioners.
