BULAWAYO, Zimbabwe — A new digital media venture, Shawnmore Podcasts Network, is preparing to launch in Bulawayo, with organisers confirming that the official event will take place before the end of the month. The exact date is expected to be announced soon.
The upcoming podcast network, founded by Shawn Sibanda, is positioning itself as a dynamic platform aimed at amplifying Bulawayo’s stories and voices to a wider audience. Sibanda, who serves as the Founder and CEO, said the project seeks to educate, entertain and inform listeners while spotlighting the city’s unique culture, creativity and perspectives.
In an interview, Sibanda said the network will host a variety of programmes scheduled across different days of the week, giving audiences a range of content to engage with. He described the forthcoming launch as the beginning of an exciting chapter for Bulawayo’s digital media landscape and urged the city—and the world—to “expect nothing but fireworks.”
Shawnmore Podcasts Network is set to make its debut at a time when podcasting continues to grow in popularity across Zimbabwe, offering storytellers, commentators and creatives new avenues to connect with audiences.
