The Khaya Arts Netball League is set to host its second edition of the annual awards ceremony tomorrow at Tshabalala Hall, with organisers promising an even bigger and more inspiring event aimed at uplifting young women through sport.

Speaking in an interview, Khaya Arts Director Future Dube said the awards remain a cornerstone of their mission to empower the girl child through sports by recognising excellence, discipline, and dedication among young netball players.

“This is our second edition, and we are excited about the growth we have seen in both participation and community support. Our aim has always been to empower the girl child, giving young women a platform not only to showcase their talent but also to build confidence through competition,” said Dube.

Adding glamour to this year’s ceremony will be the presence of Miss P. Nkomo, the owner of Chicken Corner, the popular Tshabalala-based leisure spot. Her attendance is expected to highlight growing community support for initiatives that promote youth development and women’s empowerment.

Tomorrow’s event will also feature performances from Samsobho, Thaluso Da Poet, Bhajila, Mlandi Wetshitshe, Khaya Arts Juniors, Khaya Arts Seniors, and Ras Tekken.
