Popular comedian and actor Freddy Manjalima, widely known as Kapfupi, has confirmed the collapse of his marriage to Mai Nga, amid allegations of infidelity and rising tensions between the couple.
Speaking publicly about the separation, Kapfupi expressed deep frustration and insisted that his estranged partner should explain the reasons behind the breakdown of their relationship.
“I am going to divulge it all to you after you ask her about it,” he said, suggesting that Mai Nga should first provide her side of the story.
Sources close to the couple claim that the relationship had been deteriorating for some time due to several unresolved issues, including alleged infidelity. While Kapfupi did not directly accuse his partner, he hinted that he possessed evidence supporting his position.
“I have the full proof, ndine ma V11,” he said, using the popular slang for evidence.
He added that he was prepared to present this information in court if necessary.
Kapfupi also alleged that the man he believes was involved with Mai Nga had threatened him with legal action.
“Yes, I know that I do not have money, handina mari, vakatora vane zvikwanisiro,” he said, implying that the alleged boyfriend has more financial muscle.
Despite his evident frustration, the comedian urged the public not to jump to conclusions and encouraged Zimbabweans to hear both sides of the story.
“Kana ndiri wrong bhoo, vabvunzei tinzwe zvedu isu,” he said, emphasising the need for fairness.
The separation has sparked intense discussion on social media, with many fans expressing sympathy while others call for privacy and restraint as the couple navigates the difficult period.
