Seasoned media personality DJ Ollah continues to demonstrate his rare talent, with his broadcasting skills earning him a nod in the maiden National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) Outstanding Podcast category.
The 24th edition of the NAMA reflects growth, with the introduction of new categories meant to recognise the vast advancement of the Creative Cultural Industries (CCIs).
The Outstanding Podcast category features nominees including Zigo Podcast, Pass and Move Podcast, and The Ollah 7 Podcast.
Having won the NAMA Outstanding Journalist (Radio) award in 2023, DJ Ollah has since become a popular podcaster whose content ranges from real-time news to general discussions.
He said the recognition is all thanks to his fans who have stood firm in supporting his career.
“I feel honored to have been nominated in this year’s edition; it serves as proof of hard work and consistency. It is the first time this category has been recognised, and I’m proud to be among the first nominees. I’ve created most of the viral content in Zimbabwe, and I have changed so many people’s lives through our platform, so that deserves recognition."
“If I win, I’ll dedicate the award to my loyal fans who have supported me throughout my journey as a podcaster. They believed in me and gave me hope,” said DJ Ollah.
