All set for Esigodini Music Festival & Fun Day

THE Umzingwane Progressive Arts Association is set to host the first edition of Esigodini Music Festival and Fun Day, a show which is aimed at promoting and empowering upcoming artists from Esigodini.
The show is slated for the 24th June 2023.
Esigodini, originally known as Essexvale, is a town in the Matabeleland South Province of Zimbabwe. It is the administrative centre for Umzingwane District, one of the seven administrative districts in Matabeleland South province.
Esigodini is the home town for the South African based songbird DJ Zandimaz.
Running under the theme "Say No to Drugs and Substance abuse" the event will kick off at 1100hrs and will be graced by performances from Esigodini artists which include Calvin Mangena, Mkay, Talent Mhlanga and TK Ngwenya while on guest artists there is Devotion C, Cecil Tashy and Fire Tea.
Speaking on the sidelines of the show, one of the organisers Makesure "MKay" Mkheswa said:
"We created this initiative to promote upcoming artists and fight against drugs abuse amongst the youths and other issues that are affecting us as a community"
"Esigodini is our home.We want to show the world how rich and talented our community is," said Mkay.
