ZIMBABWE African National Congress leader Mr Timothy Mncube was the Guest of Honour at the 2 ZANC campaign Road Shows that were held on Saturday in Nkulumane Constituency and Sunday in Lobengula-Magwegwe Constituency.
In his statement, Mncube said:
"We are a socialist democrats who believe in that a government must be elected directly by the people through a system of regular free and fair elections and we also believe that the people must have a say in policy changes. We believe all Zimbabweans must have equal health care and education to reduce economic inequality.23 August we are asking you to vote for our Candidates and they will surely deliver all your needs as we are a party with people at heart"
"We are going to have another Rally before the elections maybe on the 20th August at Magwegwe Hall, I will slaughter 1 or 2 beasts, they will be alcohol for those who drink and a lot more prizes to be won," said Mncube
The Saturday road show that was held in Nkulumane Constituency where the party's Nompilo Bhebhe is eyeing the House of Assembly seat kicked off at 0900hrs in the morning and was graced by performances from Isizwe Sabatsha Dance Group.
In her address, Nompilo Bhebhe said "I am daughter of Nkulumane, I know all the challenges you're facing and I'm ready to fight and stand for you in parliament, all l am asking for is your vote so that we develop our beautiful Nkulumane"
Bhebhe also promised the Bullet Shops vendors who where complaining that they don't have toilets, that she will be building toilets for them and all she needs is to be voted into power so that she is able to assist in this and other issues that are affecting them.
ZANC Chief of Staffs Mr Bhebhe advised the people of Nkulumane that "don't vote for people that you do not know because once they're voted into power tomorrow they will runaway with the money for developing your constituency then you will have another 5 years crying again, vote for people that you know, people that knows and understands your problems"
"Another thing we are a peaceful party, our mission is to bring change that's why today we are here asking you to vote for our MP candidate Nompilo Bhebhe who is a daughter of this constituency, we promise you that she will deliver everything that you ask her to do," said Bhebhe
On Sunday ZANC held another Road Show in Lobengula-Magwegwe Constituency where Douglas Ncube is contesting for the MP seat and Bhekimpilo Ncube is eyeing the Council seat for Ward 29.
In his Address, Douglas Ncube said "I can't promise to build you roads, drill boreholes or whatsoever but as the electorates I want you to tell me what you want then I deliver, because I can promise to drill boreholes but maybe that's not what you want so I want to take order from you then l deliver"
Sunday 6 August the party will be having another Road Show in Mpopoma-Mzilikazi where Innocent Zikwete Mbano is contesting for the House of Assembly seat.
