In a significant boost to Zimbabwe's tourism industry, the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry has announced that the prestigious Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo will be held in Mutare this year, marking a departure from its traditional venue in Bulawayo.
The announcement was made during a meeting between the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Barbara Rwodzi, and the Minister of State for Manicaland Province, Advocate Misheck Mugadza, along with other key stakeholders in Mutare.
The meeting focused on positioning Manicaland as a prime tourist destination, highlighting its breathtaking landscapes and diverse attractions.
This initiative aligns with the government's devolution agenda, which aims to ensure that every province plays a key role in driving the country's tourism growth and development. Manicaland, with its majestic Eastern Highlands, lush Bvumba Mountains, Mtarazi Falls, and awe-inspiring Chimanimani ranges, offers visitors unforgettable experiences.
The expo, scheduled to take place later this year, will showcase the province's adventure tourism and investment potential, promising a memorable event that will leave a lasting impact on both local and international tourism enthusiasts.
As the countdown to this grand celebration begins, Mutare is gearing up to welcome the world. The Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo is one of the biggest tourism expos in Africa, attracting international visitors and media from across the globe.
